Planning A Child's Birthday Party in MS

Planning a child's birthday party is no joke, a lot of work, time and effort goes into making the event something to remember. And if you are like me , it must be a theme party. A lot of Mississippi Moms have been asking me, who do I need to go to, to help plan the prefect party that will be talked about for days. Because they know I only deal with the best of the best and my opinion is something money cannot buy. Whenever I book a party or hire someone to do a service for me, they have no clue as to who I am because I don't want anything for free, I am not the person who looks for freebies just so you can have a good review. Even when I attend other parties or events my eyes are always open looking for new talent. So for all you Mississippi Moms in the Jackson Metro area , this is for you.

First thing first we need to come up with a theme for your child's birthday party. Remember this party is for your child so pick a theme according to the child's likes, nothing is worse than having the birthday child upset because they are in love with Sesame street and you held a Mickey mouse clubhouse party.

Once you pick your theme , you need to start thinking about cakes. Your cake should be the centerpiece of the party. We all seen the show on TLC Cake Boss, and I am sure you are thinking where can I find someone like that in the Jackson area to create the cake of my dreams for my child's party ? Well, I advise you to go to www.justkaking.com and like his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/JusKaking . The owner Jeromie Jones is amazing!!!! He can create any cake you desire to fit your theme exactly. Your guest will be in awe when they see your cake at the party , it will be done to such perfection that you wouldn't want to cut it.

So now that your cake is out the way, you need to start thinking about decorations and party favors, and invitations , thank you cards . You want all your decorations and favors , invites , thank you cards to match your theme perfectly and if you aren't that crafty or just want some unique ideas at the party to have your guests really take notice , you need to contact Sonya; https://sites.google.com/site/gotfavorsdesigns/home and follow her on instagram : ilovecrafts. She will most certainly bring that special touch of personalization to each of your favors, decorations, invites, and thank you cards. Remember the Invitation to the party speaks volumes, and you need one that will stand out and make you guests feel like that shouldn't miss this event.

Candy Apples would be a great bonus as a party favor for your guest, but since we aren't trying to throw just any old party, you need to find someone who make gourmet candy apples, that taste just as good as they look and come in such favors as, Oreo cookie, cheesecake, twin, snickers, M&Ms and so on. For this service you need to contact Stephanie. Like her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/sweetcreations012

A big trend now is to have a face painter. But you just don't want anybody to come and paint faces, you need someone with some mad skills, that is where PrissyPaintbrush come into play. The Owner Hope Mallard is very talented and works super fast so even the youngest of the party guests won't get tired while she is working on their design. Check out her out at : http://m.prissypaintbrush.com/ and like her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PrissyPaintbrush. As and added bonus if you are looking for a custom piece of furniture or outfit for your child to wear to the party Prissy Paintbrush is your place.

Now on to the entertainment, you will need to chose someone who is kid friendly and can keep their attention because no one wants a dull boring party. that is where you need the services of Dorian LaChance the Magic Man. You can check him out at : http://www.magicbydorian.com/ and like his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MississippiMagician . From doing magic tricks, telling jokes to making Balloon animals, Dorian will be the life of the party and keep your guest entertain.

Location , Location, location is a must for any party. And unless you are going to host it at your house, in the jackson metro area , the pickings are pretty slim. My favorite places are, PUMP IT UP!, Skate and Shake, MS children's museum, AG Museum. Winner's Circle Park, Shiloh's Splash Park, the Jackson Zoo, Lefluer's Bluff state park, Pampered Princess Mini Day Spa.

Lastly I suggest you hire a professional photographer, surely you can get a family member to take photos but why take the risk of them not being clear. These are precious memories that you want to preserve. And you as the parent need to be in the photos, so a photographer can walk around the party capturing all the shots you need. Leaving you without the headache and the worry if you missed something and years down the road; when you look at pictures you will be right in them enjoying your child's special day.

So there you have it Mississippi Moms, I have done my research and these are the vendors you need to contact in order to have a successful birthday party that will be talked about for weeks. I am sure some of you will read this and be like, we'll I can just go to , Walmart , Krogers, target, Sam's club, and party city and be done with it. Well sure you can go to those places if you want a "cookie cutter" party. But this blog post isn't about throwing a "cookie cutter" party like everyone else. This post is about throwing a one of a kind party that will be talked about for weeks and months to come.
