BRING IT!!!

I feel the need to clear some things up. It took me a moment to write this blog because I was so angry and  in my feelings about all the rumors being spread about the new reality series BRING IT!

This show is filmed in my hometown, Jackson, Ms., and is centered on the Dancing Dolls from the Dollhouse Dance Factory coached by Dianna Williams.

At first I said that I will not review this show because, my opinions will be rather biased from the fact that I have been supporting the DD since the very beginning, going to parades , and dance recitals, cheering my friends daughters on, or that Dianna and I both are JSU alumni. However, after the season finale this past Wednesday, a vlogger Justin J on youtube posted a review where he trashed the dolls, spreading rumors as facts and started personal attacks. But he was unprepared for the FANS, because the Dancing Dolls Supporters fought back. Now before anyone emails or comments, that everyone is allowed an opinion, let me say that thats okay , we know that. However, your opinion does not allow you to personally attack someone.
So I am going to take some time to clear up some of the false information that he spread, along with others as though they were fact. I guess you can call me Queen of the Fact Checkers.

Justin J refers to this season of Bring it as Stolen. His claim is that Dianna stole her choreography and passed off moves as though they were her own. He also keeps trying to dismiss the fact that this show is actually Dianna's show and goes on to say how its lifetime's show. I don't know why he has a problem with acknowledging that this is in fact Dianna's show. Okay back to this stolen moves part, Justin J refers to the 90s movie by the same title Bring it and says that , this is exactly what is going on, stealing moves passing them off as your own and when you compete against a team for which have supposedly stolen their moves; you can't hang. I don't know where he has gotten his information from as to the stolen moves, but in the world of dance, there is no such thing, unless you do the entire choreography 8 count by 8 count the same way the first choreographer taught it to a different team and then try to pass that off as your own. Let me be the first to say that, Dianna has no need to steal anyone's choreography, she choreographed and taught her students herself. Justin needs to spend a little more time on youtube and check out the dancing dolls channel to learn for himself.

Drama really unfolded on social media when the Dancing Dolls faced a team from Miami called the YCDT SupaStarz , from the Young Contemporary Dance Theatre, under the direction of Traci Young Bryon.

Now I will be the first to admit, This episode was my favorite because it was so intense and the SupaStarz was a perfect match up for the dolls. The dancing was on fire, and it was refreshing to see two Black women who own successful dance studios coaching and being a role model for our black girls. The dancing had me on the edge of my seat, and I do believe that the SupaStarz deserve to win.
However, what I didn't like was the smack talk and trash talking after and during the show (remember we see the show the same time everyone else does). It was quite clear that Traci said she formed the SupaStarz a few months ago, around the same time the first episode of Bring It aired. Then I started to see stuff on social media and it became clear, that someone was a little hurt that they weren't offered a reality show. I came to this conclusion based on the information that Traci said during the show. She formed a new team around the same time that the first episode of Bring it aired, then she states that the dancings dolls cannot call themselves the best when they havent competed against the best. Ummmm, Traci, the DD have every right to call themselves the best because in their area they are the BEST!!! You and your team came to their area to get on tv and prove you were better. Both teams are great. The DD are the Best in this area and the Supastarz are the best in Miami. I honestly feel was that Traci is hurt that she doesn't have a reality show of her own.  She keeps making little comments via hashtags like I am a teacher not a coach , I train my girls, etc.
Traci and Dianna both have Youtube channels but it was Lifetime who came to Dianna because of videos that they saw on Youtube. I don't know if they watched any of Traci's or not but I do know for a fact that LIFETIME sought out Dianna. It is from my understanding that they were looking for something new and refreshing and they found just that with the Dancing Dolls.

Now we have Traci Young Byron , Royce Reed, and Justin J wanting to go in on how the Dancing Dolls steal all their moves from the Superstars. As I said before, in the world of dance, no one owns moves. People take what they like and make it into their own. And Traci and Royce are the last ones to speak because they took the DD, walk the dog stand and created one of their own called hush puppy.
So when the DD preformed a motorycle stunt, they wanted to hollar out , theives and how they preformed it first. Correction and I do mean correction. You preformed a bicylce stunt. Coach D turned your weak little Bicycle into a motorcyle.
So if you look below at the screenshot taken from Instagram, you will see in the background that the YCDT supastarz did a bicycle stunt

Even Royce wanted to weigh in on it,

but then someone came out with the truth.

Now what needs to be understood is this, the SupaStarz studied the DD. They had months and months to prepare for battle. While the dancing dolls literally had days. When it comes to filming what you see in one hour takes about 19-48 hours to be filmed, then it's edited for the show.

Another thing that needs to be cleared up is this, the DD had never heard of the SupaStarz until Royce Reed brought up their name to Dianna and suggested that they battle. So all this talk on social media about Dianna wanted to challenge the SupaStarz and got more than what she bargained for is false.  Dianna extended an invitation for them to come to a comptetion as we all learned from the show and by their actions on social media, they had hidden motives in mind.

Now To Address these comments from people who want to throw shade without checking facts.

The Dollhouse Dance Factory teaches more than just one style of dance. It is a full service dance studio.

Check out some of these photos from the past dance recitals

So as you can see, there is much more to Dianna than her teaching Majorette dance styles. She has a full fledge studio with additional instructors who teach a variety of dance. So yes these children are technically trained.
I used to love watching Justin J's videos because they were funny, But to do an entire video of hate , had me wondering, are you still mad over the fact that you claim lifetime wouldn't let you interview Dianna. You trash talk their dancing and called their routines stolen. Hell you even tried to make fun of the studio because it was located near a check cashing place and a save a lot grocery store. Who cares, that studio is a successful business, bringing something positive to the city of jackson and the community.

Dianna's husband even extended an Olive Branch to Justin J and Royce since he is allowing her and Traci to boost up his head , to come by the Dollhouse to check things out for himself.

However, instead of accepting his offer and coming he had this to say to Dianna,

proving he is all talk, I mean literally Memphis is like a 3 hour drive from Jackson.

But he did get upset to the point he needed to post a new video because, like I said earlier, he wasn't expecting the backlash from his review of the show and the fans attacking and  calling him out on his lies.

Now I am not the only one who feels like Traci is a littly Salty, that she didnt get called for a show of her own.  She and Justin have even gone so far to say that the show could be replaced.

But whether you like it or not, BRING IT is on FIRE!!! Out of all the shows on Lifetime, its rated #1. The rest of the world is seeing what we in Jackson, Ms. already knew; the Dancing Dolls are a team to be on.

As for all the the folks who are a little bit salty we want you to have several seats.

For our biggest critics, Justin J, Royce Reed, and Traci Young Bryon, we will like to present this award to you.

  2. AMEN. I love this post. DD4L. At the end of the day the Dolls are amazing and yes so are the Superstars but what their coach needs to understand it is not about you It is about the children. So please stop hating and this also includes Ms.Royce Reed and the little blogger whom I may add was a DOLL fan now turned hater. The slick comments about these young ladies are out of character These are someone's children. No one is hating on your team. So think about that. You make yourself look really bad. Do us all favor and Get ya life!!! There is enough fame and promotion out there for everyone so go get your own and stop coveting another person please. That is what is wrong with our people we do not support one another. It is always hating going on because the next person got blessed. Do me a favor be glad for her and maybe one day God will do the same for you. Something to think about. I am extremely proud of Dancing Doll because they could be out there in the streets getting pregnant etc. Keep up the good work Dianna and also Traci. BUT the hating and slander has to stop. And I know there will be replies but sorry i don't do cursing and neither do i do internet fighting I am a grown woman So please come correct. Because this is my opinion. Don't do disrespect. And also NO SHADE DD4L!!

  3. Late to the post.. Truth is Dancing Dolls are NOT properly trained period!! Me and fellow dancers I know ALL say the same thing. The show is entertaining but I do find myself cringing at their lack of technic. I dont care she teaches all forms of dance because if you don't have technic you can't dance.. That's in the eyes of the dance world. NOT one of the DD will be booked a gig but the Supastars will be. Its not hating its just real. You posted all those pics to prove their "trained" but reality it shows me all their weaknesses.. I mean that toe touch is horrible.. You look at her legs are up in the air BUT dance instructors will point out he toes aren't pointed, her back/chest is bent, her head is facing down, her arms aren't straight, and her fingers aren't parellel with her arms/finger not together like blades..

COACH D did copy A LOT of Supastars choreo and if you don't admit that you're blind and bringing up Stand battles is pointless.. You're battling yourthrowing their choreo in their face and DD have done that to almost every team.. But taking it to use it on another team that's not that team as choreo is copying..
