So apparently the power of being a judge has clearly gone this this one particular judge in Tennessee's head, she had a 7 month old boy's name changed from Messiah to Martin, saying the religious name was earned by one person and that one person is Jesus Christ, This case came before Judge Lu Ann Ballew because the child's parents could not agree on his last name, it was then that she heard or should I say learn of the child's first name and ordered it changed.
Now please tell me what gives this judge the right to tell parents what they can and cannot name their child??!!!!! I have come across some strange names and it made me often wonder what were these parents thinking. But hey, it was not my choice nor did I had a say in what they chose to name their child. This judge clearly let her power of the bench get to her head.
Has this judge not considered the countless mexican or latin children name Jesus? What about muslim children name Muhammad ? Clearly this child's first name was none of her business. I read where the mom plans on appealing this crazy judge decision , and I pray she wins her case.
