Doritos and Milk does not a breakfast make
So I decided to give my two year old milk and Doritos for breakfast, yep I am a rebel mom. Just too lazy to go in the kitchen and actually cook some food. Especially at 5am. So he goes about doing his thing and eating, then he comes and climb in the bed next to me to cuddle and then it Happens, he barfs all over me, himself and the bed. And for a brief moment I didn't know what to do. It was like a slow moment still frame., and all i could think was: Should I clean him up first? Do I clean myself up first? Do I clean up the mess in the bed? And oddly why does it smells like vomit and milk and Doritos combined? Wait? I know why? That's what you fed him? Then I strangely thought do I have to wash all the sheets? Can't I just wash the comforter? Yep I thought that but sadly it soaked through so I had to grab my febreeze, and hit the mattress and put new sheets on the bed and the covers in the washer, and gave my child a shower. so that is how my morning went, I definitely need a cup of coffee .

Love bug turns TWO!
Where has the time gone? My love bug is now TWO! I miss his infancy stage! I think I want another baby in the house because this one has gone up by leaps and bounds. He is even insisting on feeding himself more now. Kinda makes me sad when I think about all the times I let someone else feed him his dinner (I should have fed him more myself ) . I am embracing this new journey into the two year old stage with him, by having an open mind and not rushing into anything; including potty training. We will start that journey when he is ready. Looking at my little one and seeing how big he had grown brings tears to my eyes. Because I know that it won't be long before he is too big for me to carry in my arms or sit in my lap. That is why I get do defensive when idiots tell me ,oh put that baby down , he's too big to carry let him walk. I mean really people what do you think I am going to be wishing when he is a senior in high school. That I held him less or more? I even mourn the fact that we no longer baby wear unless he is napping and I am out shopping. But watching my luvbug and learning his likes and dislikes have been a joy. He's now into toy cars. And I am like who told you that you are supposed to play with those and then the sounds he makes while driving them is too funny. And he has discovered the television. So Disney jr, nick jr , and sprout tv is on constantly. I prefer he watch sprout tv because those shows aren't as annoying and they don't play as many reruns like the other stations. I think it's pretty sad that I know all the preschool shows like the back of my hand. I also think that December babies have it pretty good. I use to think growing up that having a birthday in December would be awful but my baby has it made. Presents a week apart, he is so darn lucky. I can't wait to see what this year will bring for him.

Open letter to Kenya Moore from Real Housewives of Altanta
Kenya,
Girl what can I say......I am at a lost of words from watching you on television. You are a single desperate woman who is chasing after a man. Honey don't you know that men are hunters and they must hunt. You as the woman are supposed to be the prey , you shouldn't be laying all out in the opening waiting for the hunter to come find you. You are making some serious mistakes and I hope every single woman in America who watches Atlanta housewives take note of your behavior so they can know how not to act. You are begging this man to marry you yet you flirt with other men right in his face and then pretty much ask to be a part of a threesome with a married couple. That man was looking at you with such disgust in his eyes. And I am sure in his head he was thinking, can't turn this hoe into a housewife. Also single ladies take note as well, do not go on a date and start talking about the age of your eggs and how you need this man to marry you because you need to be pregnant like yesterday. Nor do you discuss whether or not you are ovulating. That will cause that gentlemen to run away and never look back. Kenya I believe you are in love with the idea of marriage. Clearly you aren't ready for that responsibility. So just go out and buy yourself a ring and give yourself a party cause you clearly don't understand what marriage is all about. And the rest of the world is looking at you and having a good laugh. And by the way child, no one remembers you from winning Miss USA in 1993, that was 20 years ago so stop acting like you just won that title. And stop acting as though you are so famous that you need security! No one knows who you are! I remember you. On trois and on the Martin show back in the 90s but I didn't know you were miss USA! You are a has been just face it.
Can I claim them on my taxes?
Yep , these folks most certainly live in my house. I wonder if I can claim them on my taxes this year?
Not having Prayer in school is not the reason behind the tragedy at Sandy Hook
To the idiots who believe that the tragedy that happen at Sandy Hook Elementary was because President Obama took prayer out of schools because he's a Muslim and the anti Christ, y'all need to have a history lesson and I am just the one to give it to you. That way you can stop posting up this foolishness on social media sites. The supreme court banned prayer from schools in 1963 after Madelyn Murray - O'hair filed a lawsuit. Now Barrack Obama was born in 1961. So I am sure at 2 years old back in 1963 he was not the president. So it's clearly been 50 years since prayer had been in school, this isn't something that was banned recently when President Obama took office. I understand that everyone is looking for answers and want to blame this tragedy on someone or something but the truth of the matter is ; The only person to blame for this , is the gunman himself.
Now school prayer had nothing to do with what happen at Sandy Hook on December 14, 2012; if school prayer prevented school shootings then those poor little Amish girls would be alive. Prayer is not "banned" in schools anyways , its forced school led prayer that is banned , individual children can pray at lunch during break before school etc as they please they can even do it as a group as long as the staff is not leading them.
So To the soulless idiots who keep posting on social media sites that 27 people died because forced prayer is not allowed in US schools let's be clear if you believe that your Christian child doesn't take God to school with them then YOU failed as a parent, the school didn't fail to have God in the school YOU DID! Your child has the legal right to pray in school at lunch, during break, before class, and after class, with friends or alone. They can even organize religious student organizations. An organization called the ACLU, will even fight for YOUR CHILD'S RIGHT TO DO SO. What CAN NOT happen is staff and faulty leading or insisting on children praying ANY prayer be it Christian or of ANY faith. Frankly everyone should be happy because even Christians do not agree on one form of Christianity.

You will survive Obama
Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color. I have seen only one positive post and by it you can truly see this man love for God...he states that we must pray for the president and not cross the line and disrespect him like many of you have done because he holds the highest seat in office and this man isn't an Obama supporter, so wow.....I have also seen many people true colors and it's sad....it makes me doubt that you are the Christian you claim to be....and makes me wonder if you have a hooded white sheet tucked away somewhere. You want to take America back? Take America back from who or whom? Cause I don't remember in a dictatorship and we aren't control by Great Britain anymore, we have won our independence , have you forgotten the 4th of July? America and the world has ended????? What bible are y'all reading? Cause I looked all through there and didn't see no where where OBAMA would end the world and MITT was the savior of the world. I did see that no man no the day nor the hour not even the angels in heaven. Or this one....let's keep America American! If that is the cases then none of us will be in this country but the native Americans. On the statue of liberty are these words :
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
So stop with this let's Keep America American crap , America is for everyone, if you strongly have a dislike for the leadership of this country then the airport have flights leaving out daily....or you can drive to Canada or Mexico take your pick.

Riot at Ole Miss on election night
Of course members of the student body were embarrassed because the actions of certain idiots (cause I dare not say students, since mature college students don't act like two year olds and throw tantrums ) their school was thrown in the national spotlight and our great state was given that negative look again. Mississippi and ole miss is looked as KLAN KOUNTRY by the rest of the world once again .....why?????? This incident comes just Three years after the KKK gathered at Ole Miss to protest the University chancellor's decision to remove "From Dixie with Love" from the school band's song list and the removal of their beloved mascot Colonel Reb to the black bear. Just a several weeks after the 50th anniversary of violent rioting that greeted the forced integration of Ole Miss with the enrollment of its first black student, James Meredith. Just a few weeks short of them electing their first black homecoming queen. The school currently has their first black female student body president. But the rest of the world isn't focus on that , they are concern with what these idiots did after President Obama won re-election...why did they have a Obama /Biden sign on hand? Were they planning on burning it anyway no matter the outcome ???? These small minded children were not acting like the young adults they were supposed to be. And I go as far as to call this model behavior......they learn hate at the home. And I can probably bet money that while these idiots were burning signs and using racial slurs their parents were on social media saying how the world has ended and how America is now dead , how Mitt Romney was our savior and he was going to keep America American, how we need to take America back, doomsday is near; like the posts I was seeing coming across my newsfeed. And their actions truly made the rest of the student body feel embarrassed, because not everyone feel that way only small percentage of the student body, whose parents probably still have white hooded sheets in the back of their closest and they have instilled that same message of hate to their offsprings...
So you want to seceded from the USA?
Important announcement for all of you who signed petitions or posting petitions for states to seceded from America. You all look like idiots read a history book:
Secessionists are traitors to America, and in their crime of treason, they should be treated as such - consider the fate of Benedict Arnold's handler:
'John Andre was left holding the bag, to the dismay of just about everyone American and British alike. This extended account of the luckless major’s last moments* is from the pen of Continental Army surgeon James Thacher. "Major Andre is no more among the living. I have just witnessed his exit. It was a tragical scene of the deepest interest. During his confinement and trial, he exhibited those proud and elevated sensibilities which designate greatness and dignity of mind. Not a murmur or a sigh ever escaped him, and the civilities and attentions bestowed on him were politely acknowledged."'

Marika Tsircou is the Greek Beverly Hills Version of Me!
As many of you who know me personality , knows that I am a reality show junky. Well somehow Beverly Hills Nannies escaped my radar. It wasn't until yesterday while on the ABC family app located on my iPad that I came across The show. I spent the entire day watching every episode of this show. OH MY GOODNESS! I know the show was supposed to be about the nannies hence the name but give Marika more air time. She is so like the Greek Beverly Hills version of me. If I lived in the BH we would totally be best friends. I think I am having my first mom crush LOL !
Like me she is an attachment parent, baby wearing, full term Breastfeeding momma, natural parent! And she believes that breast milk can cure any and everything because she had done her research . I instantly felt a connection with her on screen. Then when I saw her cute little one Xander wear a Baltic amber necklace just like my little one ; I knew me and this mom had a real connection. Then watching her carrying Xander around the house in the Mei Tai , just like I carry mines around in his or the Moby wrap around the house, I was like ABC give Marika her own show cause she is bringing to television what attachment parenting is all about. Then i really fell in love when I saw her frozen stash of Breastmilk! Marika you rock! And kudos by the way for the reunion show, yeah that idiot who wanted to know about the beer and breastmilk need to do some research.
Marika was very outspoken just like I am on the show. And that is a must for attachment parents who also Breastfeeds. When it comes to the dealings of our children our nannies or babysitters must parent along the same lines of us. And what was with the deal of Justin wanting to be paid $40 an hour? Get real hunny, and please don't believe Kristin she isn't making that much. I don't even pay my babysitters that much. Marika was correct in her price $12-15 an hour is what you are going to get. What do they think they are going to be doing for $40 and hour? Brain surgery ?
Books by Zane vs the 50 shades of grey series
This is an open letter to my friends of the Caucasian race who told me that I must read the 50 shades of gray book series. How it was so hot and steamy and it's like reading hardcore porn. For the longest I have been seeing all the hype about this book and how it was just too hot to handle, so of course I haven't read it being the southern belle that I am. *insert sarcastic laugh here* But I just kept hearing from you all that OMG this book is filled with hardcore porno type scenes on it that is very detailed. Women were raving about this book. How it got them all hot and bothered and that they wanted a man like Christian Grey. So I got my friend to bring me her copy of the series and let me say this. The 50 shades of gray series is just like reading nursery rhymes and bed time stories. Now if you want to read something that is really hot and steamy and will excite you to the bone, I would go as far to say that you will even get the Big O for reading these books, each and everyone of you need to pickup some books by this author name ZANE , you can find her in Barnes and nobles and books a million and even on your nooks and iPads and kindles. I suggest you read them on an ereader so no one will know what you are reading. Because these books are nothing compared to 50 shades of grey . Just ask any woman of the African American race and she will tell you. Show time has even turn several of her books into miniseries that airs late at night for a reason. Unlike 50 shades of grey these books aren't sold in Walmart or target. You must go to the bookstore and tell them you want ZANE books. Here are a couple of titles to get you started in the Zane series:
The Sex Chronicles: Shattering the Myth
’Gettin’ Buck Wild: Sex Chronicles II
Purple Panties:
Missionary No More: Purple Panties 2
Addicted
Shame on It All
The Heat Seekers
Nervous
The Sisters of APF
Head Bangers: An APF Sexcapade
Skyscraper
Afterburn
Dear G-Spot:

Succulent: Chocolate Flava II:
Caramel Flava:

Sandy Hook Elementary
December 14, 2012 marks another tragic day in our nation's history. 20 sweet precious children at Sandy Hook elementary in CT., lost their lives today when a craze gunman went on a shooting rampage inside their school. 20 children who wont be coming home for Christmas. 20 angels who wont graduate from high school or college. 20 would be doctors, lawyers, teachers, leaders of the community. 20 hopes and dreams for a brighter future now lay dead in a school. As a parent it saddens me to think that our children are no longer safe at school. Instead of fire drills, tornado drills, and earth quake drills. Our children must have drills on what to do if a craze gunman was to enter their school on a shooting rampage. 20 parents sent their little ones to school not knowing that this would be the last time they heard their voice, laughter or smile. 20 parents expected to pick their children up from school to hear about their day. 20 parents expected to see their children's faces light up on Christmas morning. Now heaven has gain 20 angels playing on golden slides and merry go rounds. Parents no matter how much your little ones get on your nerves today, hug them tight. Love on them and kiss them. Cause we never know what the day will bring.

A Healthy Coffee????? Could It Be True?!?!
I am a coffee lover, and I would drink like 3-4 cups of coffee a day sometimes even more; however I would always get jittery and then a crash and burn feeling would happen. A friend of mines James Roach II gave me some samples of this new coffee that he was selling; Organo Gold. I tried some the next morning and over the next week and to my surprise I only needed ONE CUP a day, I never got jittery, and it doesn't keep me awake, even if I have a second cup at night. I've been drinking this brand for about 2 months now, and believe that Organo Gold coffee is different from a lot of the 'healthy' coffee brands and 'regular' brands out there. "OG" as I like to call it, is 100% Arabica [low acidity] and has only 9mg of caffeine per cup, as opposed to the 134mg in 'regular' coffee. At first I was worried that I'd get headaches and / or some other type of 'withdrawal' symptoms from the decreased amount of caffeine, but the Ganoderma in this coffee, more than compensates for that. It naturally invigorates a body, and overall, one should feel very calm. One thing that I notice about this coffee was the taste, it was very good and smooth. And after drinking just one cup, my energy and stamina levels were very noticeable and I never once experience that crash and burn feeling. Some of my friends who also drinks this particular brand of coffee have lost weight and most experience detoxification within one week. If you have health issues or ailments, you may want to search-engine 'ganoderma (comma) 'any disease' you can think of, to find out more. You will find many brands of 'healthy coffee' out there-in my opinion this one tastes really good. But I highly recommend you taste the product and see what it can do for YOU. Every 'body' is different. I'm just one person, but for me, this brand has positively affected my: blood pressure, sugar cravings, mood, flexibility, migraines/headaches, skin, allergies [prone to sinus allergies]. I am happy to report that I have NEVER encountered: jitters, crash, burning stomach, nor nausea with this coffee (as was the case with my previous habit of 3 to 4 cups a day of 'regular' coffee). If black is not your style, there is a creamer & sugared "Latte", a dark chocolate added "Mocha" and [perfect for ADD sufferers and all children] "Hot Chocolate". If you thought green tea couldn't get any healthier, check out the nutrition information on the "Green Tea" (one tea bag makes up to 5 cups). As you can tell, I REALLY love this brand. My Chuck E Chees's Pet Peeve
First of all I really enjoyed the fact that my toddler had such a good experience on his first trip to the greatest pizza joint for kids! He ran around played games and even rode rides. His favorites where the cars and the horse. Although he only won like 94 tickets which was enough to get him some really funky neon green sunglasses that he adores we had a great time. Might have to make this a monthly trip. Only next time we won't go on the weekend but during a week day or week night when it isn't so crowded. Now take it , my toddler doesn't under stand the concept of playing all of the games, I pretty much just put a token in it and let him push the buttons , who cared if he got tickets or not , at his age he was just having a great time. Oh his favorite part was the Sky tubes to which he climbed over and over again backwards through the slide. I thought he would be scared but he just laugh and laugh.
Now what I didn't like about our experience. Some parents just let their kids run wild. True there motto is: Chuck E Cheese's a place where a kid can be a kid. But come on parents you still have to watch your rug-rats. I was at this one game with my toddler just letting him push the buttons not carrying if we won tickets or not and this little girl about 8 or 9 approaches us and takes over. She moves my son's hand out the way and starts playing the game. I had to stop her telling her first of all he's playing it and we aren't trying to win to go play the game next to us. But she wouldn't leave us along. So when the game ended we moved over to another one and then another kid shows up and takes over this game from my child while I am standing there. I am thinking really???? Where in the heck or these children parents and why are they letting them roam around without any tokens? This went on for the longest. And I just couldn't figure it out. I wasn't there to supply everyone's child with tokens , I made sure my child had a great time but I didn't know where all these other kids we're coming from or where there parents were.
The Munchkin Baby Food Grinder
We were going on vacation to the beach and I needed a way to make fresh babyfood for my , that would be quick and simple and wouldn't require me bringing our heavy duty baby food processor. So I came across this product while shopping in target and thought , why not give it a try. This baby grinder is portable and very easy to use . You place the food in the grinder such as carrots and you turn the top knob around a few times and the food is grinded down to safe pieces for the baby to swallow. The whole process is quick. it also doesn't require any batteries or electricity. The grinder is small and convenient so I can take it with me wherever we go. I have used it at the mall, the park, the beach, pretty much everywhere we went while on vacation. Another plus about this product is that it is easy to wash. The grinder is made of plastic so you can wash it by hand or in the dishwasher on the top shelve. I just take the top part off and rinse both parts quickly it under the faucet with a little soap. The grinder comes out looking like new. This item will be coming with us in the diaper bag for when we eat out at restaurants or have dinner with friends at their houses since its just that portable.

It has its quirks, but I love the Babycook!
This truly is an all-in-one machine for making your own baby food, and it's better than steaming separately and then pureeing in a Cuisinart or other food processor, because every brand of food processor I know of currently has BPA in the plastic part that holds the food (and hot food can cause the BPA to leach into baby's food). As a bonus, I plan to use my Babycook beyond the baby food years to make purees so I can secretly add nutritious ingredients to family dishes when my son gets old enough to start refusing to eat his vegetables. Something not mentioned in the guide's review is that you can cook and puree meat and fish in the Babycook, too--not just fruits and veggies.
I like being able to make a big batch of food in one session, freeze it in baby food trays, and then just reheat a couple of cubes in the Babycook without compromising the nutritional value of the food by microwaving it. On the downside, I agree that the instructions are nearly useless in the beginning, but it's not too difficult to figure out what works for different types of food based on the very limited list available. It steams within resonable time. It's cool because I just leave it steaming and it will shut off by itself (the time it steams depends on how much water you put in). However, I don't like that the food tends to get TOO hot in the reheating cycle, even when it starts out frozen, so I have to stick it back in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes and wait for it to cool before I can feed my hungry baby. Blending is so easy. I will put the steamed fruits or veggies in the water they were steamed in. Then I'll add a little breastmilk or prune juice. You do have to hold the nob when blending or it will shut off, but big woopty doo! It only takes a minute or so for the tougher veggies. As far as cleaning. The most difficult part is taking the blade off, and even that is easy! I have yet to cut myself. Once that blade is off though, it can all be thrown in the dishwasher! Perhaps my biggest complaint is that it has a tendency to leak from underneath the blade, which simply sits over the hole in the bottom of the main food compartment. This isn't annoying enough to make me not want to use it, but it definitely qualifies as a design flaw in my book (or maybe it's user error in this case, and I missed something in the so-called instruction manual??). Overall, even with these minor issues, it's easy to use, easy to clean, and helps me make really healthy, organic food for my baby, so what's not to love. And since I hope to be using it for several more years as my child continues to grow and with any other babies I might have, I think it was totally worth the investment!

My basic rules for mothers who choose to exclusively Pump Breast milk
1.) Get a Pump: If you are going to do this you will need to invest some money in a pump. I recommend a double electric pump. Hospital grade would be best but as for most, they are typically out of most people's price range. I personally recommend the Medela Pump in Style . Some people do manage to get through with a manual pump such , but according to the "experts" the best way to stimulate milk production is to double pump.
2.) Get pumping: For the first 12 weeks of your baby's life you will need to pump every 2-3 hours, 24 hours a day to establish a good supply. If you were breast-feeding that would be the same amount of times your baby would normally eat in a 24-hour period. You will need to pump a minimum of 15-20 minutes and will need to pump 5 minutes past flow to stimulate milk production. If you don't fully empty, it can decrease your supply or lead to problems like plugged ducts and mastitis. This means if it takes 45 minutes to empty your breasts you have to pump yet another 5 minutes. After the initial 12 weeks you can usually start to drop pumps. Most choose to drop the middle of the night pump first. For most the first pump in the morning will yield the most breastmilk.
****After you pump you may want to use a product like Lansinoh to moisturize your nipples. Do not use just before you pump. It is sticky and can cause cuts. Some have used olive oil as a natural lubricant between their breasts and horns. Also letting yourself air dry or putting breast milk on cuts can be helpful. If you wear breastpads make sure you change them frequently.****
3.) Storing: Please click on the following link for storage guidelines. Don't forget to date and rotate your stock. It may also be helpful, at a later date, if you include information on the label, such as the amount of breastmilk enclosed, any medications taken (ibuprofen, acetaminophen, etc.), and if a potentially gassy food was eaten that day. An example of this would be next month when your baby has an upset tummy, you will know that the culprit could be that broccoli casserole you had for dinner before you pumped and know to possibly eliminate that food while pumping.
http://www.lalecheleague.org/FAQ/milkstorage.html
4.) Cleaning and Sterilizing: You will need to clean and sterilize your pump parts daily. A trick some pumpers use is that between pumps we put our pump parts in the fridge in a Ziploc bag. If you choose this time-saving method, then once a day, you will need to either hand wash the parts with hot soapy water and let them air dry or run them through a cycle in the dishwasher.
5.) Supply: There are many things that can either hinder or help your supply.
In my experience this is what can be helpful:
-making sure you get enough calories (200-400 more than when you were pregnant)
-drinking a ton of water
-getting enough rest
-using herbal supplements, such as fenugreek, goats rue, stinging nettle and/or mother’s milk tea (available at most vitamins stores such as GNC) or blessed thistle (available online) - please check with your doctor before starting one of these supplementations
-some doctors have even prescribed Reglan (metoclopramide)
-oatmeal (not the instant kind)
-relaxing while pumping (make yourself a handsfree bra by simply cutting holes, in an old bra, just big enough to slip the pump horns through)
-looking at a picture of your baby if you are not with your baby
-if your baby will comfort suck this can stimulate production
-warm compresses while pumping
-massage while pumping
This is what can hinder:
-not eating and drinking enough
-not sleeping enough
-not pumping long enough to empty breasts
-wearing underwire bras or bras that are too tight
-skipping pumping sessions (especially in the early weeks)
What do you do if your supply is slipping?
Have a Pumpathon. You will need to increase the number of minutes and sessions you pump in a day. I suggest, if you can, every 2 hours (or as much as your boobs can take) for a full 24 hours. You will likely see an increase in a day or two.
Why do some mothers exclusively pump?
Because Like me a lot of mothers feel breastmilk is best even in a bottle. Women exclusively pump for various reasons including premature babies, babies in NICU, cleft palate, uncomfortable breast-feeding in public, tongue tied, or inverted/flat nipples. The list could go on forever. However, most mothers that end up exclusively pumping would much prefer to directly breastfeed if that worked. Pumping is a ton of work. It is like combining breast and bottle feeding together. You will spend hours hooked up to a machine and others cleaning bottles and pump parts.
You will likely still get some of the joys of breast-feeding like plugged ducts, cracked nipples, engorgement, and even possibly mastitis. When you tell friends, family, other moms or even your own doctor they will probably look at you like you are crazy. Just to let you know you are not alone and no matter why you chose this, you should be very proud of yourself. Some mothers kept trying to get their babies back to their breast; some were successful and some not, others have chosen not to go there again as issues with breast-feeding couldn't be resolved or they chose to just let it go. Some of us have made it a week, others months and some miracle moms a year.
How do you answer, "Do you breastfeed?"
This can be an awkward thing for many exclusive pumpers. Often you feel you don't fit in with either breast-feeding or formula-feeding moms. Some people say yes, some no, sometimes you go into lengthy details on what you do and why. Remember this, it is no one's business unless you want it to be. You can explain your situation and people will just think you are crazy and may never understand why you just can't breastfeed or why, if it was so hard, you just don't formula feed.
Everyday you pump is a success. If you exclusively pump a day, a week, a month, 6 months or one year or more every drop of breastmilk your baby gets is a gift. So many moms give up on breast-feeding. I want people to know there is another option. I understand how hard it is so if you chose to supplement with formula or had enough of this crazy pump thing you also have my full support.

Passing on my love for books
I have always been a bookworm for as long as I could remember. Reading was my favorite pastime . And that is something that I am hoping to past on to my children . I could and still can spend countless hours being lost in a bookstore and end up spending hundreds of dollars on books without a second thought. One year for my birthday I actually spent all my birthday money on books. Going to the library checking out books , I think I was probably the only child in the neighborhood with bookshelves of books instead of toys. My childhood consist of the Sweet Valley series (kids, twins, and high) , the babysitter's club series (including the little sister series) Goosebumps, fear street, sideways stories from wayside school, Shel Silverstein books, boxcar children and many more. And now at I am a mother I can't wait to introduce my old favorites to my children. Right now we are discovering Dr. Seuss. And I think next year we will start on The Berenstain Bears. My Baby was just a few days old when I started reading to him. And now with the new technology , he sometimes prefers that the iPad read us the story instead.

Leapfrog LeapPad Review
Mommy's Honeybun was given one as a gift. I was so excited because I am into learning toys. When I open the box, I was highly disappointed. This toy doesn't live up to all the hype, instead it was the biggest headache and money pit!!! First of all it runs off of batteries, This was proving to be very problematic and expensive. I was constantly replacing the batteries . And every time I did, my child would get no more than 2-3 hours of playtime and the batteries are dead again. So, I bought the ac adapter thinking that would solve the problem. Well, my honeybun don't do well sitting in a corner of the room close to a plug (because the cord is not very long), and every time it comes unplugged, its dead again. So I also invested in the car adapter, which is also a very short cord that comes unplugged all the time, and is very frustrating to my child. Not only that, each game is $24.99. Are you kidding me? The case was also $24 which was not included.Someone mentioned getting rechargeable batteries, and you can have a back-up set charging at all times so you never run out. But we all know rechargeable batteries last about half the time of regular batteries, so I would be changing batteries non-stop, which I feel like am already doing. And because it is dead pretty much always, my honeybun have never really played it long enough to really get into it or enjoy it. My honeybun went back to playing with the iPad. With all the money I spent in buying games , And batteries I realized what a good investment the iPad really was. Games on the iPad are .99-$5 and that's for the really good ones. And the biggest bonus of all is that you can charge it and the charge normally last us all day!!!!

The First Years Breastflow Bottle Review
I have tried several different bottles that would let my baby gain the benefits of having mommy's breastmilk when I was not around; but won't cause nipple confusion . We were having terrible latch issues because of the different bottles I was using, But then my Aunt from Boston flew in , her baby gift to us, were some Breastflow bottles. These bottles really do mimic breastfeeding, at least in the highest capacity that a bottle might. The nipple collapses and resembles a 'sandwiched' boob, both upper and lower lips flange out (as they do when a baby is properly latched upon a breast). The measuring scale on the side is dark and, with quite a few washes, the numbers and lines have yet to fade. The bottle does what the makers say it will do as well: less colic, fussiness, gas and spit up. The fact that this bottle mimics the breast so well, meaning the baby has to work to suck and get the milk out the bottle the same way as if he was on the breast; nipple confusion has not been a problem for us anymore since we switch to these bottles.
That's not to say I don't have a few issues with the Breastflow Bottle. The fact remains that the bottle is -bulky-. It is large and almost too large for some bottle holders and diaper bags bottle pockets. It makes the bottle also hard to store with freezer packs if I have to go anywhere, since most of the bags used to keep bottles cold are meant for slimmer designs. Also, when the baby is sucking and sandwiches down on the nipple, a lot of the milk gets stuck inside the nipple and within the blue plastic insert that goes inside (which is the mechanism to make a baby suck harder). And, because the bottle is so plump, it is also a pain to angle it enough to get all of the milk out without laying the baby down, which is a no-no (or so sources say) if you want to help prevent ear infections for your child. There are extra parts to clean, then with your standard regular bottle.
All in all, the breastflow Bottle is a great way to introduce a breastfed baby to a bottle. Which was a big plus for us during our Breastfeeding journey.

Why Breastfed Babies Don't Need A Feeding Schedule
Breastfed babies typically need to nurse more often than their formula-fed peers. You may have a friend whose baby is on formula remark that her baby only feeds every 3-4 hours during the day and sleeps through the night. You may wonder why your breastfed baby's eating and sleeping patterns are quite different than this. Perhaps you have tried to put your baby on a schedule only to find that he cried before you thought he should or you found that you were constantly looking for other ways to pacify him until feeding time.
Breastmilk is digested with much more ease than formula. In fact, your first milk, known as colostrum, has a natural laxative effect on the baby, enabling him to pass the meconium (the stool he has been storing since before birth) more quickly. The earlier this stool is expelled the less likely your baby will develop jaundice. Due to breastmilk's ease of digestibility, breastfed babies are rarely constipated while only receiving mother's milk.
Formula consumption, on the other hand, puts a strain on baby's digestive system causing it to work "overtime". Thus the formula-fed baby sleeps for longer stretches of time and demands to feed less often. However, in this case, sleeping longer is not necessarily a good thing! The formula-fed baby is more likely to suffer with constipation than the solely breastfed baby.
Putting your breastfed baby on a rigid schedule may interfere with the successful intitiation of breastfeeding and put your baby at risk for slow weight gain and other developmental problems such as failure-to-thrive. Breastmilk is produced on a supply and demand basis. The more your baby nurses the more milk your body will make. The less your baby nurses the less milk your body will make. Insisting on an artificial schedule may result in not enough stimulation to your breasts and therefore a scanty milk supply. As a result you may not be able to fully meet your baby's nutritional requirements thus resulting in the need to supplement with artificial milk.
In the first few weeks of nursing when lactation is just becoming established, frequent, unrestricted feedings are crucial to establishing a healthy milk supply. Nursing at least every 2-3 hours during the day and at least once during the night even if your baby must be awakened for the first few weeks will ensure that your milk supply is established and remains adequate as your baby grows.
These frequent feedings also ensure that your baby is getting the milk that he needs. Most young babies need to nurse at least 8-12 times or every 2-3 hours during a 24 hour period. Studies show that newborns who are allowed to nurse frequently and on demand regain their birthweight more quickly and are at less risk for developing low blood sugar and jaundice. Conversely, babies who are fed strictly by the clock regain birthweight more slowly and need medical intervention for treatment of low blood sugar and jaundice largely due to the fact that their mothers' milk is slow to become more plentiful due to less frequent feedings.
Crying is actually a late hunger cue. Babies will all demonstrate early hunger cues such as turning the head side to side, rooting, bringing the hands to the mouth, and even sucking the hands before they cry.
As baby grows he will experience periods of heightened growth that generally last for several days. Commonly referred to as growth spurts, these periods require more feeding flexibility. Baby demands to feed more often and your body responds to this increased demand by increasing your milk supply. Adhering to a set schedule during these times may result in a baby who's increased caloric needs are not met. Furthermore, your breasts will not receive the added stimulation they require to boost up your supply to meet your baby's growing needs.
Many babies also "cluster feed", "stack feed" or "bunch feed". These are all different terms to describe a feeding pattern in which the baby nurses almost constantly for several hours. This is a normal pattern for a breastfed baby. Many will feed in this way prior to bedtime as they "tank up" for a longer period of sleep. Also milk supply is normally lower in the late afternoon and evening hours. Many babies compensate for this slight daily drop in mother's milk supply by feeding more often.
Finally, babies need to suck and find great consolation at the breast when they feel lonely, insecure, tired, overstimulated, and overwhelmed with the changing world. It is this non-nutritive need for mother's breast that ensures that this emotional as well as physical need is met. Thus, breastfeeding - unlike bottlefeeding - is more than feeding. It is communication between mother and baby. It is a form of nurturing; it is an act of love.

How Supply and Demand Works During Tour Breastfeeding Journey
Even though breastfeeding is a natural continuation of pregnancy and birth, mothers still worry about producing enough milk. An understanding of how milk production works can help mothers avoid problems and know when to seek help.
From mid-pregnancy a woman’s breasts produce a concentrated, antibody-rich milk called colostrum. Quantities are small to suit a baby’s tiny stomach. A few days after birth, the breasts begin to produce large amounts of “mature” milk. Most mothers experience engorgement at this point, but if the baby has nursed well from birth it may be less noticeable.
How Supply and Demand Works During Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is a matter of supply and demand. The more the baby eats, the more milk will be produced. You can compare it to hosting a crowd of guests. If you have too much lasagna left over, you will make a smaller amount next time. But if your guests finish everything and look around for more, you’ll cook more for their next visit.
Lactating breasts work in the same way. A protein in the milk called Feedback Inhibitor of Lactation (FIL) regulates the milk. When a large quantity of milk leads to FIL accumulating in the breasts, production slows. Shortened or scheduled feedings, a baby who is not transferring enough milk, and supplementing with formula can all lead to lower supply. The “leftover” milk stays in the breast and the increase in FIL limits production.
If the baby is nursing well and drawing milk efficiently from the breasts, the body will make enough milk. Frequent nursing (or pumping) from the “empty” breast increases supply, to let the body know that a hungry baby needs more food—just like guests who scrape the bottom of the serving bowl. Unlike the bowl, though, breasts are never truly empty, and the baby is getting milk whenever he nurses.
With milk supply, the bottom line is not how much the mother has but how much the baby is getting. A mother’s breasts can be dripping with milk but none gets into the baby because of a sucking problem. If the problem isn’t fixed the mother’s milk supply will gradually drop off. And sometimes a mother mistakenly believes she doesn’t have enough because her breasts feel soft or the baby nurses frequently. Yet milk is being produced constantly, quantities are subtly readjusting, and breasts may feel fuller or emptier depending on the time of day.
Tips for Making Enough Milk for Your Baby
The most common reason for “not enough milk” is a baby who does not nurse often enough or long enough, or does not nurse effectively.
Tips for keeping the milk flowing:
Nurse immediately after birth and keep baby nearby for feedings during the hospital stay (rooming in).
Avoid formula supplements, which interfere with milk supply and can impact the baby’s health.
Let the baby determine when to begin and end a feeding, watching the baby and not the clock. Babies become more flexible as they grow, but you can continue to trust them to let you know when they are hungry. A normal time frame for a newborn feeding is ten to thirty minutes on each side.
Offer both breasts at each feeding in the early weeks. Supply for each breast is determined separately.
Let baby finish the first side—he is done when he lets go, sucks infrequently, or falls asleep. Cutting baby off in the middle of a feed is like asking him to skip dessert, since milk from the end of the feed is higher in calories. And we don’t put babies on diets. Don’t worry if he doesn’t want the other breast every time.
Nurse at least 8-12 times a day in the early weeks, including at night.
Consult an expert if breastfeeding hurts or the baby is not interested in nursing. Pain may be related to poor latch that can affect supply.
If there is a question about whether the baby is getting enough milk, have the baby seen by a medical professional.
Avoid pacifiers, as they can mask signs of hunger.
Babies should return to birth weight by one to two weeks and continue to gain an average of 170 grams a week for three to four months, but for some babies lower weight gain is normal.
Other signs of plentiful milk are 6-8 cloth or 5-6 disposable wet diapers and 2-3 soft bowel movements a day, and an active, alert baby who seems satisfied after feedings (although many newborns prefer being held all the time).
While mothers need to care for themselves and listen to their bodies, insufficient milk is not caused by fatigue (what mother isn’t tired?), a poor diet, or not drinking enough except in extreme cases.
Medical Reasons for Lack of Milk
Some medical reasons for poor milk supply or low weight gain include:
Over- or underactive thyroid. Women on thyroid medication prior to birth may need their dosage adjusted.
A history of breast surgery, or underdeveloped breasts that did not expand during pregnancy and after birth.
PCOS, although this is controversial. It may also cause over-supply.
Medications including the combination birth-control pill.
Retained placenta.
Over-supply, or too much milk. Ironically, mismanagement of over-supply can lead to poor weight gain in some babies.
Hormonal issues.
Health issues in the baby, such as low muscle tone or tongue-tie. The baby’s tongue needs to reach several centimeters behind the nipple to draw out milk effectively.
Many mothers worry unnecessarily about their milk supply. But as long as baby is nursing on cue and growing and developing normally, fussiness, frequent nursing or night-waking is probably not connected to lack of milk.

Zarbee's all-natural children's cough syrup Review
One of the things that I found frustrating with young toddlers is that if they caught a cold , there was pretty much nothing over the counter that you can give to them. You will have to take them to the doctor and get a prescription. My Luvbug caught a terrible summer cold and this outspoken mama had enough. I didn't feel like taking him to the pediatrician office and get exposed to more germs, I wanted to go to the pharmacy and just pick up something over the counter and be done with it. Then one of my mommy friends told me about this all natural cough syrup that is safe for babies 12 months and older. I was like really??? I have never heard of this product before and I wanted to try it. So off to Walgreens to grab a bottle. This cough syrup is made from several dark honeys. After 24 hours of taking one teaspoon every four hours I noticed a big difference. My little one wasn't drowsy , he could go about his day playing with his toys and his cough was almost gone. He had absolutely no side effects at all from this. It was such a relief not hear my Luvbug coughing in his sleep. This product will now be a necessity in my medicine cabinet especially with cold and flue season coming up. I will be buying all their products from now on.

iPad the best learning tool to give your child
It amazes me how the times have changed, when I was growing up the best educational thing that you could have in your house was a speak and spell, then it was a set of encyclopedias, then it was the home computer. I remember when windows 95 came out and we had got Compton's interactive encyclopedia. School work was super easy for me after that. Then came the Internet and no longer having to go to the library because I had information right at my fingertips. Well times they are a changing (boy I sound like my grandmother)
Now it seems that if you want your child to excel in school then it is imperative that you purchase an iPad. I would even go as far as saying purchase one for your toddler/ preschooler or kindergarten . I know what you are thinking, why would I buy such an expensive machine to hand over? Well first of all, you can buy a heavy duty case to protect your investment and sure $499 for your basic 16gb iPad does seem like a lot of money but it is actually cheaper to buy an iPad versus, Leappad , Vtech learning systems, etc.
When you look at it like this: you spend about $99 for a leapfrog Leappad . Then you have to spend like at least $15 for additional cartridges of games and books. Same with the tag reader system and the same with the Vtech systems as well. Now the pros for these systems are that they are toddler / preschool friendly meaning they can handle being drop and bump around. But the cons is that your child can easily out grow them. With the iPad, it's simple , purchase the smallest one on the market and for $499 that will be the iPad 16GB. Or you may find one even cheaper buying used. Once you have your iPad, I suggest putting a tough case on it to protect it from being dropped . I have two cases actually. The fisher price appitivity case , which hides the home button so my love bug can't exit out of apps. And it comes with a shield over the screen to protect from wetness. And an otterbox case.
Okay , the apple store has tons of educational apps, most of which are free. Then the ones you have to pay for run anywhere from $.99 -6.99 (the App store Runs sales All the time And alot of apps let you try before you buy) And the iPad grows with your kids. One of my favorite apps are the ocean house media ones. Their interactive books run anywhere from $1.99-699. (they do have two bundles to where you can get like 5 books for $11.99) And the Dr Suess books always goes on sale 50% off during his birthday for one or two weeks; sorry can't remember which. But anyway , these books teach your kids to read the same way as the leapfrog tag system only you didn't pay $15 for one book. Another reason why I love these books is because they have several wonderful functions. There is an auto play for my luvbug to listen to his favorite story. I can read him the story and turn the pages myself just like a real book, and the best part that makes it just like the tag system is that you can touch each word and it tells you what the word is. Not to mention if my luvbug touches anywhere on the screen , it automatically tells him what the picture is. Now the iPad can do more then just teach your preschooler or toddler how to read but with an iPad you won't have to purchase the your baby can read system because the apple store is full of flash cards that are animated and most of them are free while the rest are just $.99 .
So you don't have a preschooler or a toddler, then I still suggest getting the iPad for your elementary , middle schooler , or high schooler. Because of all the learning apps from science to Algebra. And with the iBooks , nooks, and kindle apps , your child can download all their favorite books to read. And most of the classic books that are required reading for school Are free to download. Just like having a computer in the house was a key for our educational success growing up; so is giving your child an iPad. It's an investment in not only their future but their education as well. The iPad just isn't about fun and games and watching movies and listening to music but a true learning tool, that is interactive. I just love the look on my luvbugs face when he squeals with delight, when he turns on his iPad and goes to his learning games.

A response to the ridiculous Statements on Facebook made by : WandaHenderson Harris concerning Gabrielle Douglas Hair and how her mothershould be a shame for her daughter to be on national tv with unkepthair.
I've been seeing the debate happen on twitter then it came across my facebook news feed when a closed minded superficial person decided to bash Gabby Douglas. ( I have obtain photos of these statements for you to view) I was very please with all the people and their comments that came in Gabby's defense when Wanda posted up her ridiculous statements. Now what makes me madder than mad is that when another black mother criticizes a teen about her hair then bashes her mother, when will we black people come together as a whole and stop it with this crabs in the barrel type mentality ?! Now let's take a look at some of the statements that Wanda made that I will be addressing:
Wanda Henderson Harris Stupid and superficial statements:
1) Her hair looks pretty ruff, folks can be pretty unforgiving about it, myself included. It coulda been fix better before she went on international tv.
2) there are much better ways it could have been fix much better, can't give her mother a pass on that
3) I know how expensive gymnastics coaching is, I am just wondering if she knew she was going why didn't she get braids are something . Ppl may say its not important but it is, you can see all that gel IV that new growth, not good. Looks like she needs a relaxer really bad.
4) girl its just true, no way my child would go to any competition, without her hair looking nice. Her mom found the money for the lessons, she coulda paid for a hairdo. One she could just tie and keep neat during the competition.
5) I don't think it was neat at all, it was a distraction, it was painfully noticeable, had her hair been really neat no one would be talking. I was like oh man , why didn't she get her hair fix before she left.
6) going to the Olympics shoulda been a time to be focused for but also to look nice. I don't excuse it, she had plenty of time to prepare. It's not shallow, preparation time is never lost time
7) her hair is a representation of her trying to fit in with white culture . And that's what brought her to jack up hair.
Now Wanda you are a disgrace as a black mother. Their was nothing wrong with Gabby's hair. I didn't pay any attention to it because I was so busy focusing on her skills as a gymnast and I am sure the judges were as well. As a female gymnast , your child's hair needs to be pulled back and clipped away from the face so it will not interfere with the flips, jumps, tumbles, turns and what have you, you claim that Gabby's hair look pretty ruff and that she needs a relaxer very badly. Well according to your photos on Facebook you are well passed your turn for a relaxer and your hair is standing all over the place and Gabby's hair look a lot nicer then yours. Next you claim that your child will not go to any competition without their hair looking nice, and how I'd her mom found money for lessons she coulda paid for a hairdo. Can you please enlighten us on. How many gold medals your child have? What about a 90 million dollar endorsement deal with Kellogg's ? Does your child have one of those. See I am guessing that you are very shallow and raising your daughters to be the same way. That's why they will probably never achieve what Gabrielle Douglas have. You see, Gabby mom did the right thing. Her daughter was busy training for the gold while I am sure your daughters were somewhere being like Amber Cole and unless they make what she did into an Olympic event they will never see a gold medal . (for those of you unfamiliar with who Amber Cole is google her). You also claim that her hair wasn't neat but a distraction and painfully noticeable, ok I see from your profile that you sell Mary Kay, what if I told you that your hair was a distraction and it hindered me from wanting to buy makeup or beauty products from you because I am trying to figure out how you could ever put a come through that nappy mess? The most stupidest closed minded statement you could have ever made was the one about how going to the Olympics is a time to look nice and how she had plenty of time to prepare. Let me ask you this , how many olympics have you been in ? What about your kids? I thought going to the Olympics was a time to increase your training and focus on winning because you will be competing against some of the worlds best / top athletes. Then lastly you claim that her hair looks jacked up because she is trying to fit into white culture. Wanda as a mother I am shock that another mother would stoop so low and downgrade another child and her mother, have you heard the old saying sweep around your on front door , or the manner that you judge someone they will judge you twice as hard? I for one want to know who are you to talk? I have yet to see a photo of your hair looking all fabulous or your daughters hair looking fabulous. Have y'all even made it into the history books. This is what is wrong with our race, we have close minded, superficial black folks like you who are installing these same shallow values in your own daughters. You as a black woman , then as a black mother should have been extremely proud of this young lady accomplishments. But just like crabs in a barrel you try and belittle her and pull her down because of your own insecurities. How would you feel if everyone started tweeting about a Mary Kay representative who needs a relaxer before she tried to sell beauty products to ladies. Because her hair is ruff and nappy and unkempt and it's no reason or excuse for someone who sells Beauty products to have jack up hair like that? Or if you found money to sell Mary Kay by buying the start up kit then you coulda found money for a perm? In all honesty I think you are just jealous that this young lady made history by doing something that you nor your own daughters could do, do in order to feel better you decides to bash hair.

My Future Gold Medal Olympic Winner
After watching the Fab 5 win the gold medal in the 2012 summer Olympic games for women gymnastic, makes me think as a mother I need to put my love bug in gymnastic classes now. Just the thought of how these young ladies were babies themselves with the exception of one of them because she wasn't born yet, the last time the USA won a gold medal as a team in women gymnastic. My love bug already at almost 20 months, jumps, flips, tumbles, climbs and does splits. I think it's time to began his Olympic training, I am pretty sure his competition for the 2028 summer Olympic games has already begun training. Now I must admit that I cried like a baby during the one commercial that showed the mothers of these athletes . This commercial showed young kids doing the sporting events and the mothers cheering them on. Then at the end it read, To the moms they will always be little kids. That was the best commercial so far that I have seen.

9 year old abuses babies / toddlers at a MS daycare
This particular news article outrages me. This comes from a news story from Vicksburg, Ms and I must warn you, if you click on the link and read the news story then look at the video which is very graphic , you too will be just as out rage as I am, let me also add that you cannot see the video on mobile devices, so get to your laptop or computer to see this. I will post the link at the bottom of this blog.
Ok so apparently this daycare center was first brought to the media attention when a father walked In and slap a 6 year old child for hitting his kid, I know right? I was angry at this grown man for hitting another kid. But according to the first news story, he walked in and wanted to know why his daughter came home with bruises and two busted lips. And the teacher couldn't give a reason or an explanation as to why. So another kid (9 years old) pointed to the six year old as the one who did it and the dad slap that child across the head and was then arrested for assault , so here we think the story ends with an outraged father beating up another poor innocent child. Well that is not what happened. The very next day the news reported (this is the story to the article that is posted) that a daycare worker is now arrested and a shocking video has been release. Here we see the surveillance video of the daycare to where there are toddlers and babies presence and a 9yr who is brutally attacking these poor babies when the teacher isn't looking. He can be seen, dragging one child and pulling her. Then the same child is shown standing and he jump kicks her in the back and she falls forcefully hard on the ground. Another smaller child is shown in a walker to which this same 9yr is shown slamming her head into the tray, choking her, and punching her in the face. He keeps his eye on the teacher and when she isn't looking he attacks these poor babies. Then his aunt gets on tv to speak for the family. She says that this seed of Satan is on medication and he fight , he bad, but he don't fight babies. She kept making up excuses as to why he was doing what he did and how it wasn't a big deal. The entire time she is talking I am thinking , too bad the dad hit the wrong kid. And this little terror knew exactly what he was doing because he pointed to another kid blaming them and he only attacked these babies when the teacher wasn't looking,
Okay, this is where I become angry and I am talking about the kind if anger that involves adrenaline flowing, If my child was attending this daycare and came home with bruises and busted lips and you better tell me the who what when where and how this happen. I have a couple of questions / concerns that need to be answered. And they are as follows:
1) why is that 9yr seed of Satan in the room with toddlers and babies in the first place?
2) this is a daycare right? So why is a 9yr there?
3) did the teacher not hear these babies cry? Why didn't she come running when they started crying. What was she doing?
4) apparently you have surveillance in the daycare so we as parents can be assured that our children are safe while in your care. Well you in the HELL was suppose to be watching the tapes and how long has Satan in the form of that 9yr been allowed to attack and abuse these babies?
Personally I think that this daycare center should be closed and this 9yr terror needs to have a sit down in a jail cell. He could have killed those babies. These parents need to sue and seek criminal actions of not only the daycare workers but the 9yr seed of Satan. Also this type of behavior is a learned behavior, apparently this sort of thing must goes on in his home life , so social services need to be called in to do an investigation. This is why I am so glad that I stay home with children.

"I see you've been cleaning."
All you prospective parents out there, consider yourself warned. It's not that mothers of busy little children don't clean, and hence, have dirty, cluttered houses. Quite to the contrary, we clean constantly. Toys on the floor, crumbs on the table, dishes in the sink, food across faces, stains on the clothes... don't even get me started on the diapers! And that's just the day-to-day (or more realistically, minute-to-minute) stuff.
But should one dare to attempt a more thorough cleaning project like, say, straightening a cupboard or scrubbing the bathtub, be prepared for your house to look ten times dirtier and more cluttered when you're done. Because according to Newton's Third Law of Childhood Behavior, for every organizational attempt on the parent's behalf, there will be an equal and opposite dis-organizational reaction on the child's behalf. (And be sure to multiply the disorganizational quotient by both the number of children in the home and the minutes they were left to their own devices for a true representation of the expected mess.) Because while you're tidying up, they are "entertaining" themselves. While you sanitize the bathroom, they dump the pieces of every puzzle in the middle of their bedroom floor for a puzzle piece stew. While you rub the jello stains out of your dining room rug, they play dress-up with the (used-to-be) folded basket of clothes at the end of your bed. Should you brave the living room dust bunnies, they will inevitably discover your secret stash of glitter, the permanent markers, and/or all of the toys you cleared out of their closet and slated for donation to the Salvation Army the last time they were gleefully distracted.
So, dear friends, the next time you arrive at a mother's home and her living room looks like mine, please, please withhold judgment. Simply take a large step over the blocks and side-step around the tupperware tower in the middle of the entryway, smile a kindly, knowing smile, and say, "I see you've been cleaning."

Toys Toys Toys and More Toys
I have come to the conclusion that children’s toys are a blessing and a curse. On one hand, they keep my Lovebug entertained. On the other, they replicate like rabbits all over the floor, and cause me to curse under my breath when I step on them. Toys are not easy on the feet. I pick up toys one time a day, at night after the kids go to bed. Before, I found myself constantly picking up toys! So if you come to our house, expect toys on the floor. It maintains my sanity and allows for more play time with the kids!

What?!?! You are a stay at home mom????
No one would have ever thought I would become a stay at home mom. Heck I didn't even think I would be a stay at home mom myself. Just the thought of sitting at home all day doing nothing was not my idea as productive. Now that I am a mom I can't imagine leaving my child for hours at a daycare or with a sitter. Now once he gets to be school age , if I decide not to home school then will I return to the work force. That should make everyone who knows me personality pretty excited to know that my college degrees and certification titles aren't going to waste. And I have learned quickly that stay at home moms do not just sit at home all day. Taking care of my baby is a full time job and I am thrilled to be the one doing it. I have witness so many firsts that I probably wouldn't have seen if I was in the workplace.
One of my pet peeves as a Stay at home mom is that everyone thinks of me as a free babysitting services, and I am sure that a lot of other moms who choose to stay at home with their kids get the same treatment. Many folks feel that just because , we don't work outside the house, we sit around and do nothing , therefore we have all the time I the world an can handle watching your kids as well as our own. I am so sorry and I hate to sound rude but I didn't leave my high paying job to become a stay at home mother just for the heck of it, or because I didn't have anything else better to do. I did it because I wanted to raise my child without any outside influences. I am so sorry but I can not become your babysitter because as you see it , I don't work and therefore have the time to watch your kid. My day starts off like a normal work day, we get up, eat breakfast, play. Do some chores . And if I have to run any errands I would only prefer having my kid with me not anyone else's if I can help it.
Now in the other hand I get rude comments from folks who think that me staying at home is pretty much a waste of my college degrees and certification titles. I hear it constantly that I need to put my son in daycare and return to the workforce. They somehow feel that he is not being socialize enough. And that is so completely untrue, He attends Play dates, he goes to the church nursery during service. And when he sees other children , he never backs away as though he is shy but he runs towards them eagerly ready to play, I enjoy every moment that I spend with my little boy, watching him explore and learn about the world around him. I don't think that I wasted time going to college just to become a stay at home mom,
